Umberto ( 1996 - 2014 ) came from a breeder, Brittco, I believe, who no longer is in Ottawa. The owner was Kelly Toewes. His father was a champion. He was an outstanding example of the breed in both temperament and good looks.
He was owned by Karen Coupland and Ton Zuijdwijk of Ottawa, ON
Umberto, who lived to be 18 years old, touched many people's lives.
He was a frequent office companion in Karen's practice of clinical psychology, in both a hospital and private practice setting. He would sit in the chair next to her and was always a good greeter and listener.

Today has been a sad one at out kennel. We mourn the passing of our Golden Retriever CH. DALNAVERT IT'S MILLER TIME 1999 - 2014. Miller had a good life. He came to us from breeder , the late Peggy Konwent, in Wisconsin in the spring of 2000. He was sired by CH. Wingate Allmylove Allmykiss'n and out of Dam Tegalong's Eddie's Girl. He became Carolyne first "big dog" to show and Grant's "big" pal. Carolyne and Miller were a winning team in the show ring. He was an excellent representation of the breed both in temperament and structure/movement.

After 13 great years, we had to say good bye to our boy Spencer.
Spencer had always been a puppy at heart, always full of energy and playful until the end, he was always so loving and loyal. Truely the best personality you can have in a pet.
We are going to miss our play times and walks, your love and cuddles.
He will always be loved and missed dearly by his mom and dad, Kevin, Kayla and Kody.

“Peacefully, on May 29, Harley (Dalnavert’s MGD Genuine Harley), son of Fiona and Finnegan, crossed the Rainbow Bridge to patiently wait for those of us he left behind. For over 11 years, he has gone for morning walks and daily puttering around with grandpa, greeted the girls when they came home from school and us when we came home from work, cuddled next to us as we watched TV or gamed, and snuggled up to us at bedtime. He would go camping and defend us from the wild beasts of nature and babysit grandma and grandpaw when we were away on vacation.
