2008 A Brief Overview
In 2006, Dalnavert Kennels decided to link up with friend and mentor, Linda Ross of Luvit Kennels, in order to co-own a female that was based on both of our blood lines, and complimented by a sire from Campion Kennels owned by Marilyn Torrance.

January 20th, 2008 Lana joined handler Rick Day of Risgae Kennels and associate Gary Renegar on a journey that would have her complete her American Championship in 7 shows with 18 points and 4 majors. Lana’s USA show career culminated with a trip in April to the BFCA National Specialty in Idaho, where she was beautifully shown by Rick in the Specials Class (20 entries), making the cut for Best of Breed.
The second part of Lana’s journey would continue in Canada, with handler Sandy Orford. It took Sandy and Lana 5 shows in May to complete her Canadian Championship with a Group 1st and a Reserve Best in Show. What an exciting journey this has been for all of us! Both handlers were elated with her structural quality and her outstanding personality. Lana was a joy for them to show. Lana also qualified in the top 25 Bichon Frise for the Eukanuba Invitational in California in Dec, 2008.
As her owners, we could not have asked Lana for more! In June, Lana’s next journey took her home to Florida, back to “grandma” Lois Drobac, who was anxiously waiting to spoil her.
In late November 2008, Rick Day of Risgae Kennels, made the co-ownership possible of two lovely puppies. A boy called “Hugs”, Risgae’s Hershey’s Kisses of Dalanvert-Luvit, and a girl called “Belle”, Luvit Dalnavert Southern Belle of Risgae.
And the New Year 2009, would take us to a new adventure.
