MCA Shows have come and gone. We experienced the wettest shows ever! Since most of the shows were held outdoors grooming became a nightmare for full coated dogs. Having a white coat made things even more challenging.

Belle took Best of Breed/Puppy in Breed on Thursday, August 6th/09. Hugs won Best of Breed at the Group 6 Specialty and the All Breed ring on Friday, August 7th, 2009, while Belle won Best of Opposite and Best Puppy at the Specialty.

First time in the ring at 6 months of age was our “Tony”, Luvit’s A Rolex Daytona At Dalnavert. He showed very well winning Reserve male. Hugs won Best of Breed on Sat. August 8th, 2009. We wished Belle a Happy Birthday as she turned a year old ! The weekend ended with the Bichon Booster under Dr. Michael Woods. Hugs won Best of Breed , Tony won Best Puppy and “Lex” ( Tony’s brother ) Luvit’s A Rolex Yacht-Master At Dalnavert placed second in the Jr. Puppy Male class. This was Lex’s first time in the show ring. He was expertly shown by our daughter Carolyne.

We are off to Atlanta , Georgia in a few days. Hugs and Belle are going back to their breeder Rick Day “Risgae” Kennels. We will be posting their American successes as they are shown in the States for their American championships.
