OTTAWA, with its beautiful weather, provided us with a very exciting weekend - November 16th - 18th - at the Ottawa Kennel Club Dog Show. Sandy Orford, Tony's groomer and handler, presented "TONY" to the eastern dog enthusiasts for the first time ever. What a success they were amongst the company of the top dogs in Canada! Challenging their formidable competition, Tony and Sandy took a Group 2nd under judge Mr.Luiz Ribas Silva on Friday Nov. 16th/12 ; a Group 4th under judge Mr. Jack Ireland Nov 17th/12, and a Group 3rd under judge Mr. Larry Kereluke Nov. 18th/12 .

I guess all that is left is an American Grand championship...... 2013 might be the year for that!

Both Luvit and Dalnavert kennels are proud to announce that 3 of the "Rolex" litter have now become a CHIC 5. If you go on to the OFA site you an view the clearances they have in Hips/Elbows/Legge-calve-Perthes/Patellas and eyes. They have also had their DNA registered. Eyes and Patellas must meet clearances every year. We are so very proud of this breeding. Lissa "Celissima", Lex " Yacht-Master and Tony "Daytona" are out of our AM/CAN CH. On November 1st,2012 became a Canadian Grand Champion. Lex had already qualified with his Best in Show and the required points,now his passing of the CGN test would "seal the deal". A big thank you goes out to co-owner Marilyn Torrance who worked with Lex in preparing him for the test!

DALNAVERT'S THE INSPECTOR GENERAL fondly known as "Mati or Matisse" passed away on August 6th, 2012 at the age of 17 years!. Mati was born on July 26th, 1995. Mati's "forever owner" was Susan Bracken. Susan writes: " He was a dear, sweet, gentle boy with a beautiful face and deep expressive eyes. He will be dearly missed."
This photo of Mati, taken just before he passed away, portrays those eyes that all of have seen in our own Bichons. They are the eyes of "little people in fur coats" ! Rest in Peace Mati....Rainbow bridge has many friends to play with.
